Meet the “Mushroom Man” – Neil van Rij

Neil is a registered Professional Scientist (400381/1) specializing in mycology and plant pathology. SACNASP is the legislated regulatory body for natural science practitioners in South Africa.

2003 he obtained his M.Sc. (Agric) cm laude degree
He was selected for the Cochran Fellowship in Iowa, USA in 2006
Neil attended mushroom training Fuzhou Agriculture and Forestry University, Fujian Province, China in 2008 and 2010
Under the tutelage of Dr J Holliday, Aloha Medicinals, Nevada, USA, Neil completed their Advanced Spawn Making training In 2014.
Mushrush PTY Ltd and Aradec CC (Agri Research) are his two professional passions and keep him actively informed and up-to-date with cutting edge technology in both fields.
