FINISHING TOUCHES: Part 2 // Once the concepts have been developed, layouts resolved, and presentations approved, the next phase of the design process begins.

And this is often where the real coordination starts. Sourcing & procurement is one of the most time intensive parts of any project.

Behind every finished space are countless supplier conversations, sourcing trips, fabric selections, sample reviews, furniture orders, lead times, logistics, and ongoing coordination happening simultaneously.
Sometimes the perfect piece is found immediately.
Sometimes it takes weeks of searching.

Sometimes plans need to shift entirely to ensure the final outcome still feels cohesive and intentional.
This phase requires patience, flexibility, and an enormous amount of attention to detail.

Then finally comes installation & styling, the stage everyone waits for.

Where furniture arrives, artwork is hung, lighting is installed, textures are layered and the vision that once existed only in presentations and plans slowly becomes reality.

But even in these final stages, the smallest details matter. Styling is never simply about placing objects into a room. It is about balance, atmosphere, warmth, scale, texture, and creating spaces that feel lived in rather than simply decorated.

By the time a project is complete, months of planning, coordination, problem solving, sourcing, refining, and collaboration have taken place quietly behind the scenes.

Because truly considered homes are never rushed.
They are layered slowly, intentionally, and thoughtfully over time.

GOOD DESIGN TAKES TIME: Part 1 // One of the biggest misconceptions about Interior Design is that it starts with selecting furniture and ends with choosing colours.

In reality, long before a space begins to take shape visually, there is an enormous amount of thought, planning, and problem solving happening behind the scenes.

Every project begins with discovery & briefing. This is where we take the time to truly understand our clients. Their lifestyle, their routines, their needs, their budget, and the way they want to experience their home every day.

Because good design is never about copying a look.
It is about creating spaces that feel personal to the people living in them.

From there, we move into concept development. Moodboards, layouts, materials, textures, colour palettes, finishes, references, and overall design direction all come together during this phase. This is where ideas slowly start finding their identity.

Then comes space planning, one of the most important parts of the entire process, and often the least visible. We carefully consider flow, functionality, proportions, movement, and how each room will realistically be lived in and used.

Only once these layers are thoughtfully resolved do we move into our design presentation.

Materials.

Detailed presentations that allow clients to fully understand the vision before implementation begins.
While these stages may appear quiet from the outside, they form the foundation of everything that follows.
