A few photos from last week’s adventure up Fangs Pass ⛰️😮‍💨

This is one of those hikes that doesn’t give anything away for free. A long approach through the valley, endless boulder hopping, and a steep final climb that has your legs negotiating with your brain to turn around 🥾 But once you’re on the escarpment, all that suffering suddenly makes a lot more sense.

Fangs is one of the more challenging passes in the Drakensberg, but it’s also one of the most rewarding. Fewer people, more wilderness, and the kind of scenery that makes you stop every few minutes pretending to “admire the view” when you’re actually just catching your breath 😂

Safe to say this route reminded us exactly why we keep coming back to the mountains. Great people, epic views, and just the right amount of suffering.
