We are proud to share the video of our latest landmark solar project at the iconic Lanzerac Wine Estate—one of South Africa’s oldest and most distinguished wine estates.

Renowned for its award-winning wines and historic architecture nestled in the heart of the Stellenbosch winelands, Lanzerac seamlessly blends tradition and innovation. This forward-thinking estate is dedicated to sustainability and responsible stewardship of its legacy, making it a natural partner for SolarSaver’s advanced renewable energy solutions.

Lanzerac now benefits from a 770kWp, 1.2 MWh system that powers the activities on the estate, from wine-making to hospitality. This project was driven by a highly effective partnership. The expert team at Atlas Power brought us this opportunity and seamlessly managed all client interactions. For optimal efficiency and reliability, the system relies on high-performance Sigenergy inverters in a modular, stackable design, providing seamless PV+ESS back-up during outages.

As the dedicated funding partner, SolarSaver owns the system. We provide comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M), including continuous performance monitoring. Our fully managed solution allows the Lanzerac team to benefit from clean, sustainable energy while they focus entirely on their core business: crafting world-class wines.

Ettienne is responsible for leading Sedgeley Energy’s South African operations by integrating strategic leadership, financial stewardship, and engineering governance to drive profitable growth, operational excellence, and high-performance asset management.
He is focused on further enhancing our capacity to monitor and maintain the performance of our portfolio, aligning our specialist teams to effectively manage our strong growth pipeline, and drive strategic operational efficiency across South Africa.
