NEWS ◾ The 54-year-old man who was murdered in Songloed last week during a home invasion, was identified as Matloko Moitshane. He was a nurse at Klerksdorp Hospital and was a qualified midwife.

Armed robbers gained entry to the home he shares with his children by breaking a bedroom window. They fled with a tv and two cellphones.

The children, a boy and two girls, were held captive in a bedroom. They discovered their father's body in the lounge and sought help from neighbours.

No arrests have been made yet. The DA in Klerksdorp called on the police to act speedily in bringing the murderers to book.
