Introducing our rescue pack, episode 2😁
Today's star is Daemon (Daemy for short, Wolfdog*).
Daemon came to me Jan 2018, from Anita and Candace in East London. They had him since a pup from 2012. He had a Jack Russel as a companion and everything went well. Walks to the beach - going off lead, almost unheard of for a Husky, living a good life. Then the JR got out one day and was run over😥. Obviously missing his friend, Daemon started getting out, ending up at SPCA several times. Anita started looking for a suitable home for him, and after a year of looking, a friend mentioned him to my sister, who then told me. We had only recently relocated to Hogsback at that point. I contacted Anita and was asked about 1000 questions😂.
She then agreed to let him come to me, and we still keep in contact.
Daemon fitted in well to Hogsback life, thoroughly enjoying the walks into the forest near home. It was on the walks that he got the nickname wolfdog* - he does look like one. Anyone meeting us on the road would immediately go the opposite direction, or, in some cases, climb the nearest tree with some haste and amazing ability🤣.
Daemy is our most senior pack member at 14. He's very grumpy towards the others, but still full of life, just a bit slower.

Back at the farm today, more fence work - the (not at all) interesting part. Tie on riser. Repeat.
Repeat a LOT.

I've also been busy during the week. building the gates for the indoor kennels. Lots of supervisors and inspections😁 but still only just me and my trusty 50 year old welder.
