The Agri Data Revolution Summit 2006 held at Southern Sun, Sandton on the 17th -18th March, saw industry stakeholders such as APAC, PPECB, SAUFM, Technofresh and Land Bank converge to see and explore how data-driven technology is improving decision-making in agriculture.

Under the theme “Shaping South Africa’s Fresh Produce Future”, the summit was a dynamic knowledge exchange platform, where discussions on AI, data-driven farming and export trends, to name a few unfolded.

A special thank you to the organizers, all the speakers, industry leaders and colleagues. What an honour to witness such an insightful event aimed at shaping the future of an innovative, data and technology driven agriculture in South Africa.

Freshmark Systems hosted a Market Management Workshop at eMseni Christian Centre in Benoni, Johannesburg on the 19th of November 2025. The two speakers, Our MD, Mr Dave Larkan and Business Development Manager, Dr Justy Range spoke and opened discussions around crucial topics affecting the National Fresh Produce Market industry including role of markets, food Security, theft, fraud and corruption, trading models on markets, to name a few.

A major resolution reached at the workshop was a general agreement among the delegates on the need for a Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across markets. A uniform SOPs would improve and enhance operational compliance, reduce operational gaps and support effective data management and decision-making across all National Fresh Produce Markets.

We wish to express our sincere gratitude to delegates from all the Markets who attended the workshop. We are grateful for the meaningful interactions; conversation and your valuable contributions made at the workshop.

Following the Freshmark Systems Market Management Workshop the South African Union of Food Markets (SAUFM) Conference and Annual General Meeting which took place at the same venue on the 20th and 21st November.
Under the theme “Building Reliable Food Distribution Systems in SA” the conference was well attended by various industry role players and saw speakers presenting and sharing insight on various topics, including implementation of the Competition Commission Report; Report on NFPM’s; Regulatory Environment; Fintech and funding packages, Food Rescue Initiative, just to name a few.

Freshmark Systems wishes to congratulate the SAUFM Community for a successful conference and further express sincere gratitude for having allowed Freshmark systems to participate in this valuable conference.

The second Sunset bowls for the year 2025 commenced yesterday at the Beacon Bay Bowling Club. The first day was a huge success. Team Freshmark Systems is looking forward to the seven week season of exciting competition and amazing fun.
