On this International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA) stands in support of global efforts to raise awareness about the impact of substance abuse on individuals, families, and communities.

As a statutory health council, AHPCSA promotes safe, ethical, and holistic healthcare practices through the regulation of 11 complementary and alternative health professions. Our practitioners are trained to support physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing using evidence-informed, drug-free approaches where appropriate—helping patients find balance and wellness without dependency.

Together, we advocate for healthier choices, responsible care, and a future free from harm.
