Project Highlight: King Shaka International Airport
Blue Engineering completed two custom steel staircases at King Shaka International Airport at the end of 2024. These staircases connect the air bridge to the airside for passengers seated in the back half of the plane.
Built for strength and passenger comfort, they feature galvanised steel, aluminium vastrap tread plates, stainless steel balustrades, and a protective roof. We also installed two Jansen doors for access to the upper landings.
All work was completed in line with SANS 10400 and SANS 10160 standards.

Project Update – World Bank, Lusaka, Zambia
Blue Engineering has completed a dual Jansen steel door certified for RC3 security and E120 fire protection.

• Heavy duty adjustable weld-on hinges
