Meet our Directors
Zimkitha Zatu-Moloi
Zimkhitha Zatu is a Chartered Accountant who qualified in 2008. She completed her undergraduate and post graduate studies at the University of the Witwatersrand. She completed her articles with KPMG in the Industrial and Automotive Products Unit. After completing articles, she joined the KPMG Transaction Services department.
In 2008 she joined the Industrial Development Corporation (“IDC”) as a Business Analyst and in 2010 she was promoted to Account Manager in the Metals, Transport and Machinery products business giving her the opportunity to be able to lead due diligence teams.
In 2012 she joined PPC Ltd (“PPC”) as a Financial Manager for the RSA Cement business and was later promoted to the position of Executive Manager: Office of the CFO. While at PPC she participated in PPC’s R6 billion DMTN programme, Habesha (Ethiopia) acquisition (R600 million), BEE refinancing (R2.7 billion), CIMERWA’s (Rwanda) acquisition, PPC acquisition of Pronto and Safika and PPC Zimbabwe’s project financing deals which amounted to a combined R4 billion. She was also tasked with the financial oversight of PPC’s major capex projects, Cement RSA financial reporting, PPC’s capital structure, financial modelling and valuations for various projects.
While at PPC she launched and was a training officer for PPC’s CA Training Programme which saw 6 trainees qualify as Chartered Accountants.
In 2015, Zimkhitha was selected as one of the Mail and Guardians 200 Young South Africans.
In 2016 she left PPC to pursue entrepreneurial ventures which included the founding of ZAAM Investments (Pty) Ltd, a 100% black women owned and managed company focusing on advisory and consultancy services. In the same year she became a minority shareholder of Mathupha Capital, the first black owned rail infrastructure business that has capabilities in manufacturing rail components, construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of rail infrastructure in SADC. She is the current CEO of Mathupha Capital.
In 2021, Zimkhitha joined the board of Sebilo Rail as a Director and Shareholder. The company currently provides rail maintenance and advisory services for Kumba at Sishen Iron Ore Mine.
