🚨 KZN VIP Operational Recap Wednesday Night 🚨

Members of KZN VIP remained actively deployed throughout the Phoenix area on Wednesday night, responding to multiple incidents and assisting in crime prevention efforts across communities.

🔹 Copper Theft Incidents
Numerous copper theft incidents were reported throughout the Phoenix area. KZN VIP officers responded to several complaints and continue to work closely with community members and law enforcement agencies to combat the ongoing theft of critical infrastructure.

🔹 Armed Robbery Suspect Apprehended – Sunford
A suspect was swiftly apprehended in the Sunford area following an attempted armed robbery at a local tuck shop. The suspect was found to be in possession of a dangerous weapon. KZN VIP members responded rapidly to the scene and successfully detained the suspect before he could flee. SAPS attended the scene and took over further investigations.

🔹 Attempted Vehicle Theft – Campbellstown
An attempted theft of a Toyota Fortuner was reported in the Campbellstown area. It is believed that suspects arrived in a grey vehicle and parked outside the residence before attempting to gain entry and start the vehicle. Their actions were noticed by vigilant neighbourhood watch members, causing the suspects to flee before completing the theft.

ONE INJURED FOLLOWING ROLLOVER CRASH ON THE M27 NEAR WATERLOO

One person sustained injuries following a serious single-vehicle rollover on the M27 in the vicinity of the Waterloo Spa on Monday.

KZN VIP's Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the scene after receiving multiple reports from passing motorists requesting urgent assistance.

Upon arrival, paramedics found a vehicle that had rolled over, leaving the occupant injured. The patient was assessed, treated, and stabilised under Advanced Life Support care before being transported to a nearby medical facility for further medical attention.

The exact circumstances leading up to the crash cannot be confirmed at this stage and remain subject to investigation by the relevant authorities.

All emergency services were in attendance and worked together to ensure the patient received the necessary care while the scene was safely managed.
