Groin injuries are common in sports that require rapid acceleration and deceleration, sudden change of direction and kicking thus they are quite common in soccer, rugby, cricket, tennis and squash. The muscles in question are your adductor muscles located in the inner thigh region. The line of force of the muscles approach the hip from many different orientations.
