Single Eccentric T-Bar Butterfly Valve
Selling points of Paltech S.E. & D.E. HP Butterfly Valves vs. conventional rubber lined Butterfly Valves (Resilient Seated)
Customer Benefits
Larger bore, superior free flow area – less presure drop – Resilient seated Butterfly Valves higher pressure drops.
Low break and closing torque due to thermo-plastic materials –Resilient liners can swell causing severe friction – can tear and scuff.
50 bar pressure can be achieved with the T pressure seal – Rubber liners are limited to 16 bar.
Smaller actuators can be used on higher pressures – above average size actuators must be utilized for rubber lined Butterfly Valves.
Paltech HP Butterfly Valves are suitable for temperature up to 500°C – Resilient seated Butterfly Valves temperature limitation ±200°C.
Low maintenance costs ±25% of the cost of a new liner-Resilient seated Butterfly Valves maintenance cost absorbent.
Positive disc drive – no pins, fasteners or difficult splined shaft connections.

Valves have a primary and secondary rating. The most important or primary rating is cast, forged or stamped on the valve body.
The primary rating in these standards is the cold rating e.g. PN32 cast on a bronze valve means maximum 32 bar pressure at a temperature of -10°C to +100°C.
With every primary/cold rating there is a corresponding secondary/hot rating. Thus, the above temperature rises to maximum allowable working pressure decreases.
