Kiley Campbell Project

A year ago today, I received another of those phone calls one never wants to receive. My Amber had passed away. A wonderful girl who was my ‘daughter’, even though I’d never given birth to her. For 10 years this girl lit up my world. And two days before her 30th birthday she was gone.

I wrote a song for Amber, and it was recently released on Spotify, iTunes, YouTube and a host of other streaming platforms. Thank you to Doug Campbell and Keegan Kiley for your heartfelt input; long may the Kiley Campbell Project produce beautiful music. Amber girl, I’m so glad you spent four nights here in January last year; we certainly had a precious time and I wish wish wish things were different … ironically money could have fixed loads for you ... but I comfort myself knowing you’re free from pain; you’ll never have to beg to work from home again thanks to that horrific neuropathy in your feet my love; you’ll never have to beg to be understood … you’ll never have to prick yourself silly to get sugar levels, and your type 1 diabetes will NEVER get the better of you again, my little T1D warrior. I WILL see you again. I know you’re with your dad and little Jaden and my Eddie Bear in heaven. I have absolutely no doubt. Love you forever. Till we meet again.
