DesSoft Datasheets Module Workflow for 1Des and P&ID.
In the Datasheets’ Bulk Datasheet builder, during the creation of new Excel Datasheet documents, the range name values that are in the Datasheet Templates are automatically Synced to the 1Des Database into the Datasheet table and the Excel file's equivalent cells are cleared in the newly created Datasheet document, so that the document is "new or clean" and is only containing the Range Names/Linked Database Fields and not their Values.

At this stage the User can decide what to do with the default data values by,
• clicking on "To Document" button, Bulk Datasheet builder will use the values in the Datasheet table and update each Excel document linked cells, thus keeping the default values.
• clicking on "To Database" button, Bulk Datasheet builder will finally clear all the values as it will now sync the empty values in the Excel document to the database and clear all the default values.
Therefore, it is important to decide if one wants to use the default values in the Template or to have a "clean start" for the current batch of Datasheets.

MS Excel Tip.
We have heard that some of our clients are saying that 1Des is throwing the leading zeros in the database away, when exporting our tables to a CSV or TXT file format.

We can confirm that it is not the case. The TIP here is not to "Double Click" on the exported file to open it in Excel, but rather to first open Excel and then go to "Data" and click on "From CSV" and open the exported file. This will maintain the leading zeros in Excel.
