Accompanying our Trimble guests on an insightful field trip to the Sibanye-Stillwater Simulacrum Mining Facility - a state-of-the-art mock mine hosted by The University of Johannesburg (UJ) at their Doornfontein Campus.

The facility replicates realistic underground mining conditions to help students and researchers bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical, production-ready skills.

Participating in the 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐈𝐆 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, themed “Navigating Tomorrow: Empowering Surveyors for a Sustainable World”.

Over two inspiring days, young professionals, industry leaders and innovators from across the globe came together to exchange ideas, share experiences and explore the future of the surveying profession.

The conference also provided an opportunity to reflect on the 20-year journey of FIG Young Surveyors and celebrate inspiring individuals who have grown through the network to become leaders in the Geospatial industry.
