Hi Cycling Friends

The cast has been removed!! The Orthopaedic Surgeon is very happy with Koos’ leg and told him that he can start cycling but should start slowly, so one of these days he will join us with the Coffee Ride !

Those who are going away, PLEASE drive and cycle safely!

We are doing our usual Coffee Ride this Saturday and will continue to do so over the festive season. Please let me know if you are staying in Pretoria and are interested in doing rides during the week (excluding Christmas day and New Year’s Day) and from what time will best suet you.

We Start from Cycle Max Shop.
The Gate to the Shop and Secure parking would be open @ 5:45 sometimes 5min late.
The ride starts @ 6:00,
We will be back at the shop @ 10:30 -11:00

Make sure that you take a spare tube, pump and puncture kit with and REMEMBER Cycle Max sponsor the Bottomless coffee @ HuckleBerry’s !

Shop News:
I want to order Cycle Max Winter jackets but first want to see what the interest is.
There are two types of Jackets: Thermovent for R995 and Polar Fleece for R1100.

Please let me know if I should order for you with the type and the size. The size would obviously be the same size as your cycling shirt.

Last Week’s Ride:
Thanks Elaine for joining the ride on Saturday. Elaine did not bring gloves and she almost got frost bite if it wasn’t for Wessel that offered his. Elaine and Wessel, I have good news: we now have small gloves in the shop, so no excuse not to join this Saturday! I will also be back in the saddle on Saturday . I can’t wait! I was so jealous last week watching you riding off.

Good Day all Cycle Max Supporters!
News:
Koos is recovering well and is back at the shop. Thanks to all of you who are wishing him well, supporting and motivating him. It means the world to us!
Last Week’s Ride:
We had a good ride and a compliment of 6 riders. The first few kilometres was cold (only on the fingers) but then we warmed up and by the time we reach the foot of Klapperkop we felt over dressed and wanted to get rid of all the warm clothes.

REMEMBER: If it was the cold that kept you in bed and off your bike - if you have the right kit you will NOT be cold and enjoy your winter rides– please visit the shop and gear up!


Please let us know if you took part in races during the weekends and provide us with your results and/or cool pictures of you and your bike so that we can include it in our weekly mail.
Skills Training and Coaching:
Adrian Ilsley - who joins us on most Saturday Coffee Rides, can assist you in improving your cycling (mountain bike and road) skills, he is also available for organising and presenting Training Camps, Training Programs and even Kids Cycling Lessons. Go and have a peek on his website or contact him:

Total Mountain Bike riding Distance is about 60km.
Roadies - For those that are interest in a road ride Saturday, please send us a email so we could get an indication on the numbers.
Total Roadride is about 70 – 80km depending on what is voted for before the ride at the shop.
