THE WORDS OF WISDOM 4D WISE (WWW) CORNER
Lamentations 3:37 says, “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?” This scripture reminds us that the authority of God’s word is supreme and no plan or word of man can override His decision.

GOD HAS THE FINAL SAY!
The truth of life is that God has the final say over every situation. In our world today, many voices rise daily—voices of men, voices of circumstances, voices of fear, and even voices of the enemy. People may pronounce judgments, doctors may give reports, leaders may issue decrees, and adversaries may speak negatively, but none of these words can stand if God has not commanded it.
The sovereignty of God is unchallengeable. He rules in the affairs of men, and no human opinion or declaration can alter what He has decreed. Pharaoh, with all his power, declared that Israel would never leave Egypt, but when God arose, his words fell to the ground. Balak hired Balaam to curse Israel, but Balaam was forced to admit, “How shall I curse whom God hath not cursed?” (Numbers 23:8). Joseph’s brothers thought they had determined his future by selling him into slavery, but God turned their evil into a pathway for his destiny. Even death does not have the final say. When Lazarus had been in the grave for four days, everyone thought it was over, but Jesus called him forth, proving that not even the grave can silence God’s voice.
This truth should give every believer confidence. What men say about you is not the end of your story. What situations declare over you is not the final word. God alone has the power to bring to pass what He has spoken, and His word stands forever. When you receive a report from the doctor, remember that it is only a report; the verdict belongs to God. When enemies rise against you and plot evil, remember that unless God permits it, their efforts will fail. When life looks hopeless and people say it is over, know that God says it is not yet over until He declares it so.
As Isaiah 55:11 tells us, God’s word never returns void but always accomplishes His purpose. That means every promise He has spoken concerning you must come to pass. His word is stronger than the voice of men, deeper than the counsel of enemies, and more powerful than the limitations of circumstances. Therefore, as a child of God, your hope should rest firmly in Him. He is the One who begins and finishes, the Alpha and Omega, and the One whose word cannot be reversed.
In conclusion, the final authority over your life is not in the hands of men but in the hands of God. The opinions of people may rise and fall, situations may change, and challenges may come and go, but God’s declaration remains forever. Trust Him, rest in His promises, and walk with the assurance that no one can say a thing and make it come to pass unless the Lord has declared it. Truly, God has the final say.

2 Timothy 3:1–5 (ESV), Apostle Paul writes,
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless… having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”

The Current Decadence in Society: A Biblical Perspective
In today’s world, the moral compass of society seems to be spinning without direction. The foundation of decency and godliness that once guided communities is quickly eroding. Acts of violence, sexual immorality, dishonesty, greed, and self-centeredness are no longer seen as shocking—they have become normalized, even celebrated in some circles. This shift in values and behavior reflects a deep and growing decadence that has gripped our generation.
Decadence is more than just moral failure; it is a collapse of the principles that uphold human dignity and godly living. It is when a society turns away from what is right and begins to glorify what is wrong. In this age, truth has become relative, and anything that calls for discipline, restraint, or righteousness is seen as outdated or judgmental. Many have traded the fear of God for the praise of men, and the result is a culture that is decaying from within.
In many places, we see how materialism has replaced contentment, and popularity has replaced integrity. Leaders who are meant to uphold justice and inspire morality often fall short due to selfish ambition. The family unit, which was once the bedrock of society, is under intense attack. Parents are burdened, children are left unguided, and many homes are filled with strife and confusion. Even within the Church, we sometimes find compromise as the desire to remain popular waters down the message of truth.
Yet, even in such a time, God has not called His people to retreat or conform. He calls us to stand firm, to be light in the darkness and salt in a tasteless world. As believers, our response to the decadence around us should not be fear or silence, but a renewed commitment to live out the Gospel with boldness and love. Our lives should reflect integrity, purity, and compassion. We must return to God’s Word as our ultimate guide and hold on to the standards He has set—not just for our own sake, but for the sake of future generations.
In Psalm 11:3 (KJV), the psalmist asks, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” The answer is that we must rebuild. We must restore what has been lost by teaching truth, loving our neighbors, raising godly children, and shining as lights in a crooked world.
The decadence we see today is not the end of the story. It is a call to action. It is a reminder that the world needs the influence of people who are grounded in righteousness, not swayed by trends. We are that people. And this is our time to rise.
