Please could we contribute Baked beans and/or soup on Sunday for our food parcels please. We also need to get Peanut butter and Pilchards ready to contribute.

Reading: Colossians 3:12

'As God's chosen people, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.'

Reflection

I am so convicted of the fact that we can get so impatient and deal harshly with others. We are so hasty and in a hurry. We take our bad habits and attitudes out on each other. We should act with compassion, kindness, humility and patience.

We are His people, and we should then treat people as He would have us treat them. We are called to be different! We are all called to treat people with love, kindness and gentleness.

Not as the world treats us, but as Jesus treats each of us.

It is not weakness to treat people with love and compassion, tenderness and love! That is strength of character!

Perhaps today we need to put on that compassion, you know, everyone needs compassion, the kindness of a Saviour…… this goes a long way to making someone’s day really special, and we can all do that. We can all change the course of someone’s day and make it special. We need to be mindful of the fact that we cannot forget to be loving and caring.

There is so much to be said about walking in the opposite spirit. We all know that it is easy to react to things. We all know that sometimes we are like ticking time bombs waiting to explode. But there is another way. The way of love. The way of Jesus. We can walk in the way that He walked. Jesus was so intentional about everything that He did. He did not allow folk to leave Him without them knowing the way of Love. Perhaps we need to change our shoes. Walk in the shoes of love and tenderness today. It is an amazing fit!!!

Breath-prayer: Lord, help me to be like You. Fill me with Your compassion and enable me to be a person of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Help me Father to change my shoes today. In Jesus name,

Daily devotions # 27
From my desk to yours ….
6 – 10 July 2026
Good morning to you all, I trust that you had a really good weekend and that you enjoyed being with your loved ones.
The second half of this year is moving really quickly already, and before we know it, this year will be over. Time just seems to move really quickly as we get older.
Raymond and Rose and their children are safely back home in Zimbabwe, and I am so grateful to you all who have prayed and supported them. It is a great loss for us at Mnandi, and we will continue to pray for them.
On Saturday morning starting at 9am we will be doing some maintenance work at Mnandi. We need to seal the fish pond so that our fish can come home again and be with us. If you are able to come and assist us in any way, please come along. We will be at the church from about 9am.
I am really looking forward to sharing in our Christmas in July lunch with you all. It is time to just sit back, sing to our hearts content and enjoy a good meal together. There are still a few places available and if you would like to come, then please let me know this week please.
We are hard at work on the Golf day, and I am so grateful to those who are helping me to really get this off the ground. We really need to supplement our Church funds. We all know that the economy is tight and there are so many who are struggling, and the church is no exception. If you can assist in any way, I would really appreciate it. Your contribution means the world to me and helps me to get the Golf day to where it needs to be. Please let me know if you can assist.

Monday – 6 July 2026
Reading: Psalm 86:5
O Lord, You are SO good and kind, SO ready to forgive, SO full of mercy for ALL who ask Your aid.
Reflection:
God is a good God, He only wants the best for each of us every day! His kindness reaches out to us every day, and all that we need to do is to ask. God does not want to leave us as we are, He wants to forgive us and bless us! He wants to change our hearts, make them soft and pliable. He wants us to be more like Him.
All we need to do is to ask. God wants to extend His mercy and grace to each of us, He wants to be with us every step of the way.
All we need to do is to have the courage to ask! Sometimes pride gets in the way and we don’t want to ask anything of God. He is waiting for us to ask for His help, He is waiting for us to come to Him for all we need.
Breath-prayer: Lord, I need Your mercy and grace in my life. Forgive me for the things I have done that have not pleased You. Help me to do what pleases You. In Jesus name, Amen.
