After nearly 2 years of dedication, creativity and service to the Fish Hoek community, it’s time for us to wish a very special member of our team, Caroline, all the very best as she begins an exciting new chapter at Wynberg Library. 💙📚

Caroline has left an incredible mark on Fish Hoek Library. Her passion for connecting people through books and ideas has inspired so many in our community. She was the driving force behind our Manga Club, creating a welcoming space where young people could connect through a shared love of reading and creativity.

She also established our wonderful partnership with the Fish Hoek Valley Museum, bringing history to life through our monthly H.O.T. (History Over Tea) sessions—where stories, memories and community came together over a cup of tea.

Behind the scenes, Caroline has made an invaluable contribution to developing our teen and adult collections, carefully selecting books that will continue to inspire, educate and entertain our readers for years to come.

While we're incredibly sad to see her go, we're equally excited for the Wynberg community. They are gaining a librarian whose knowledge, enthusiasm and genuine love for people will undoubtedly enrich their library and its patrons.

Caroline, thank you for everything you've done for Fish Hoek Library, your colleagues and our community. Your impact will be felt long after your last day, and you'll always be part of the Fish Hoek Library family.

Congratulations to our librarian, Ashleigh, who was announced as the winner of the City Employee 2050 Innovation Challenge! 🏆

Ashleigh's winning concept, "From Paycheck to Purpose," explores how young City employees can help build stronger, more connected communities through collaboration, storytelling, shared learning and human-centered innovation.

The idea reflects something we believe in every day at Fish Hoek Library—that libraries are more than places to borrow books. They are spaces where people connect, ideas grow and communities shape their own stories.

This achievement is not only a personal milestone but also a proud moment for Fish Hoek Library and the City of Cape Town. We are excited to see how ideas like these can inspire the future of public service.
