Classic human brain: players all agree pace of play is an issue, but no one thinks they’re to blame 😆

Poker probably isn’t much different tbh.

I’ve definitely been part of the problem at times. Not intentionally, but when you’re deep in a hand it’s easy to lose your perception of time and take a bit longer, especially in big spots. The issue is everyone feels that way.

That’s why I like where things are heading with shot clocks being introduced more frequently. Not because players are trying to abuse time, but because it removes the grey area and forces a bit more self awareness.

recently introduced a chess-style system where each player has one time bank for the entire tournament. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

It forces you to be more present, more decisive, and more honest about how much time you actually use.

Curious where people stand on this. Is pace of play getting better or worse?
