How do you solder near a pearl without destroying it?

Tennille demonstrates heat paste, the barrier that protects heat-sensitive materials while you work with a flame.

How it works:
-Pack it at least 3 to 5mm around the part you need to protect
-It absorbs the heat and shields pearls, enamel, resin, and leather
-Also protects solder joins on claw and basket settings
-Doesn't even get hot to the touch

In the demo, a wax model that would normally melt survives the flame completely intact. One 100g tub, two year shelf life.
