Music workshop!
Imvula Music Program was please to host Mermans from Playing For Chage for a hands on workshop. Mermans shared his experience as a performer and musician with the young musicians from our program at our space in Philippi Vilage
Welcome home Mofaya!
Today we welcomed Mermans who is a band member of and a producer based in the U.S at our first meeting of the year. Mermans gave an amazing story of how Imvula was born from Intonga Music school in Gugulethu which was the first school that Playing For Change built, paving the way for many other programs to be initiated across the world!
This visit was a 360 degree moment for us and Mermans as he has returned to an even more busy program than back then!
