This week’s favourite is the Stamford coffee table from Mobelli Furniture + Living . It truly is a one-of-a-kind design, and we were so pleased to stumble upon this authentic piece. We hope to incorporate this into a current furnishing and decorating project.

We are busy renovating one of the most popular Muslim Prayer Facilities in Johannesburg. The building alterations are well underway and we are excited to see the outcome.
The prayer facilities consist of a male and a female side, each designed with a beautifully patterned back-lit qibla wall. Both the prayer rooms rely entirely on indirect lighting, giving a sense of serenity in these areas. The lighting effect is achiever through backlit wall panels and recessed LEDs in the ceiling throughs. The modern solution for the minbar and the wudus incorporates more direct lighting and provides the genuine upliftment this project needed.
To provide for the steep increase in foot traffic on Fridays and during Ramadan, the outdoor parking area will also be deigned as a convertible prayer area. Stay tuned for updates.

A few weeks ago we showed you some concrete textures found at our SA Steel Mills site. Now it is time for us to talk about exposed concrete textures.
Due to the casting process, concrete is one of the most texturally versatile building materials. The size, shape and texture of any concrete element is entirely dependent on its formwork, which is the mold into which the wet concrete is poured. When concrete is meant to be left exposed, special attention needs to be given to its appearance. These photos show how designers used this opportunity to their advantage and created some jaw-dropping textures and details.
