Happy woman's day! From the Grind squad🔥🌻

Currently we are fighting 2 battles at the same time, one longer than the other. Covid- 19 and gender base violence for even longer. We are living in a world where men feel they have the right to say or touch the bodies of woman when they feel like it, killing women and children just because they can.

But what is Gender base violence?

Gender-Based Violence is 'any act of gender-based violence that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women. This includes threats, harassments, arbitrary deprivation of freedom.

According to the most recent data from 2017/18, a woman is murdered every 3 hours in the country.
Statistics South Africa estimated that 3,3% of men and 2,3% of women in South Africa think it is acceptable for a man to hit a woman.

And don't you dare say: " She was probably wearing inappropriate clothes or she was somewhere she wasn't supposed to be."

Protect our women and put a stop to this cruelty. It unacceptable, period!
