Today on the N2 highway near Tongaat, we met this magnificent Knysna Loerie
She had been hit by a car, was sitting down exactly in middle of the road. I flagged down traffic, rescued her, we rushed her to vet where we discovered massive trauma to her chest... Amidst many tears we agreed to euthanasia and a few moments later she slipped away... She touched our hearts in a beautiful way, so brave and so so vulnerable...
