As parents, we are raising children and teenagers in a violent country with high crime rates.
Crime against teenagers in South Africa is a significant issue. According to the 2020/2021 crime statistics released by the South African Police Service, there were over 9,000 cases of r**e reported against teenagers aged 12 to 17. Additionally, there were over 17,000 cases of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm reported against teenagers in the same age group.
