Hey neighbors! I wanted to give you a quick budget update.๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

Unfortunately, the budget wasnโ€™t passed on time again this year. While thatโ€™s certainly frustrating, I can tell you that I do not expect this process to drag on for five months like it did last year.

In the meantime, Iโ€™d really appreciate your help. If you have a moment, please consider reaching out to your state senator and asking them to keep the budget moving. Passing it as quickly as possible ensures that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania can continue funding the programs and services our communities rely on.

HB 2512 Banning Surveillance Prices by Ride Share Companies Passes the PA House!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ

This legislation would make Pennsylvania the first state in the nation to prohibit ride-share companies from engaging in surveillance pricing practices charging consumers different prices based on personal data such as a phoneโ€™s battery level, the age of a device, or the number of wireless connections nearby.

The bill is designed to protect consumers from unfair and opaque pricing practices while increasing transparency in the digital marketplace!๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

Use the link in my bio to reach out to your State Senator to help get this bill signed into law!

Iโ€™m so grateful Iโ€™ve had the chance to celebrate and honor LGBTQIA+ leaders whose stories, resilience, contributions, and impact deserve to be remembered, uplifted, and shared. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒˆ

As we close out Pride Month, I want to spotlight another person who has truly inspired me: Sylvia Rivera. A true LGBTQIA+ legend whose courage and unwavering advocacy helped pave the way for generations to come.

Sylvia Rivera dedicated her life to fighting for the rights of transgender people, LGBTQIA+ youth, and those who were often pushed to the margins even within the movement itself. She reminded us that Pride has always been about standing up for equality, dignity, and justice for everyone.

Her legacy continues to inspire us to speak up, show up, and ensure that every voice is heard and every identity is valued. As Pride Month comes to a close, may we continue to celebrate, support, and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community not just in June, but every day of the year.

Happy Pride Month!๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿพ

Iโ€™m always looking for more great reads, so feel free to share some of the black literature your reading right now below! Hope you enjoyed your Juneteenth weekend!๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿพ

Happy Pride Month! I want to take some time to celebrate LGBTQIA+ leaders whose stories, contributions, and impact deserve to be remembered and shared.๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒˆ

For our Third Week of Pride Month, I want to spotlight another person who has truly inspired me Marsha P Johnson. A true LGBTQIA+ Hero!

Marsha P. Johnson was a Black transgender activist, performer, and LGBTQ+ rights pioneer whose courage and compassion helped shape the fight for equality. A prominent figure in the Stonewall uprising of 1969, she dedicated her life to supporting marginalized communities and advocating for justice, leaving a lasting legacy of resilience, love, and activist! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿพ

If there are LGBTQIA+ leaders who have left a lasting impact on you, please feel free to share them in the comments below! Continue to stay tuned for next weekโ€™s special spotlight!
