MP(Member of Parliament) QUESTIONED OVER FATAL ACCIDENT.

Unnamed member of Parliament is among several suspects under investigation in connection with the death of a young man from a hit and run at Vaitele two weekends ago.

TV1 Samoa reports that Police Commissioner Fuiavailili Egon Keil has confirmed the unnamed MP was one of several people being investigated as his office continues to look into the death of 19 year old Tu’u’au Maletino.

Following the tragic incident the Police were unable to locate any witnesses or identify who may have caused the death of the young man.

At the time the Police Commissioner urgently called for the driver to turn themselves in or for any witnesses to come forward to assist Police with its investigations.
The efforts of the Police appear to have been successful while investigations continue.

We will update this as this story unfolds.
