Apia, Samoa: The Samoa Tourism Authority (STA) is happy to announce the appointment of Onomea Productions as the official organizer of the Miss Samoa Pageant for a three-year term, commencing in 2026 and concluding in 2028.

Following a competitive recruitment and selection process, Onomea Productions emerged as the successful candidate, with its proposal demonstrating a strong vision, capability, and commitment to delivering a high-quality national pageant that aligns with the objectives of the Samoa Tourism Authority and the Miss Samoa programme.

The appointment has been formally endorsed by the STA Board of Directors, showing strong institutional support for the partnership.
"We look forward to working closely with Onomea Productions to continue strengthening the Miss Samoa Pageant as a platform for promoting Samoan culture, leadership, tourism, and national pride," said Niumata Kitiona Pogi, Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa Tourism Authority.

The Miss Samoa Pageant is a cornerstone of Samoa's cultural calendar, serving not only as a celebration of Samoan heritage and beauty but also as a vehicle for promoting tourism, empowering young women as cultural ambassadors, and fostering national pride on both the local and international stage.

Our track record has demonstrated our commitment and passion to sustain the preservation, protection and promotion of the Miss Samoa Pageant as a cultural heritage platform we can be proud of,” said Founder & Director of Onomea Productions and the Anofale Mentoring and Leadership Programme I’oimataopunialava’a Vaito’a Toelupe.

The Miss Samoa Pageant is scheduled to be held in the first week of September 2026.

A privilege to celebrate the longstanding partnership and people-to-people connections between Samoa and Australia.

It was an honour to meet Her Excellency the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia, and to join leaders, alumni, and community members in reflecting on a relationship that has been shaped through diplomacy, development cooperation, and through the enduring connections between our peoples.

As an Australia Awards alumna and someone who now works across both Samoa and Australia through my role as Chief Communications Officer of the Pacific Australia Youth Association , this occasion held particular significance. I have seen firsthand how education, youth engagement, cultural exchange, and regional collaboration create meaningful opportunities for young people and strengthen the ties that connect our Pacific family.

The relationship between Samoa and Australia extends far beyond governments and institutions. The people-to-people connections remain one of the most valuable foundations of our relationship, that cultivate mutual understanding for the future of our region.

As Miss Samoa, I am continually reminded that representation is less about celebrating who we are as a nation, but more about building bridges between communities that create spaces for dialogue, collaboration, and shared purpose.
