Philton Solomona

Āriki Group, co-owned by Jason Momoa, Taika Waititi, and Cliff Curtis, has acquired Studio West, a major production hub in Aotearoa.

Established in 1997, the studio has supported local and international productions, most recently hosting Momoa’s Chief of War.

The acquisition places Studio West under Indigenous ownership at a global scale, with plans to expand domestic and international production while supporting Indigenous storytelling and industry growth.
