Sapa, the mountainous far north area will be always high in the must see of anybody’s travel list in Vietnam. The frequent question will be “When is the best time to visit Sapa?”. Daytime temperature avarages 18 – 28 while night time is from 10 – 18 degrees. During this time, we have sunny and warm days and cool nights. It’s dry, clear with lot of sunshine, not too hot, not too cold. It’s perfect for trekking, photos and view. The landscape looks green as well

Sapa highlights cool summer. Temperature is around 26 – 32 degrees . It’s rainy season but not all days and all time. And the rain only lasts for an hour or two. Almost the time it’s still hot and sunny. The positive point is that the waterfalls in Sapa are at its best with lots of water running down the mountains. The terrace rice fields are green and growing, offer an amazing view

September it’s less rain. It’s warm at day time, cloudy, windy, clearly, dry and cool early morning and at night time, perfect for sightseeing, photos, outdoor activities. September is also the harvest season and offer amazing view for the yellow terrace rice fields. Later in the month October and November the temperature drops gradually, making it milder during the day time and cool at night.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲
In winter from December to February, Sapa becomes very cold and chilly, especially at night Temperature may drop under 5 degrees. November is still a nice month to visit Sapa, but December and January are the coldest months of the year. This is the time when temperatures can drop to freezing and there is even a chance of snow. It can be foggy and limited fisibility.

Another frequent question is “ When is the best time to visit Fansipan Mountain peak?”. Travelers can visit Fansipan all year round, only during winter from December to February it can be very cold and chilly. Temperature may drop under 5 degree and it can be foggy and limited visibility.
