Day 5 with F***y 🇫🇷 — peaceful nature and hidden gems around Tuyền Lâm Lake.
Today we left the city center to explore the calm and scenic Tuyền Lâm area. Our morning began at Thiền Viện Trúc Lâm, a beautiful Zen monastery overlooking the lake, surrounded by pine forest and fresh mountain air — a quiet and refreshing start to the day.
Nearby, we took the cable car ride connecting the hills, enjoying a wide view of Đà Lạt from above. Back on the ground, a small spontaneous stop led us to a colorful garden filled with playful decorations — one of those random but lovely discoveries.
We continued to Happy Hill Café, walking through flower paths and wooden viewpoints, taking time to relax, enjoy drinks, and simply appreciate the peaceful scenery by the lake.
Lunch was a local specialty: gà nướng cơm lam — grilled chicken served with bamboo rice, a perfect match for the highland atmosphere.
In the afternoon, we explored Datanla Waterfall on foot. Skipping the alpine coaster, we followed the stairs and forest paths all the way down — a bit tiring, but rewarded with beautiful streams, rocks, and cascading water along the way.
Back in the city, we made a quick visit to the iconic Chicken Church, one of Đà Lạt’s most recognizable landmarks.
To end the day, a sweet surprise at Blue Dream Bread — a cozy, Christmas-themed bakery with amazing pastries that even F***y rated as close to French quality.
A day full of nature, quiet moments, and unexpected little joys. 🌲🌊🍞

Day 4 with F***y 🇫🇷 — a day of architecture, history, and unexpected discoveries in Đà Lạt.
The day started in the most simple and local way: cà phê sữa and bánh mì thịt on a small street table. With the cool morning air of Đà Lạt, this classic Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk and a crispy baguette filled with savory meat was the perfect and very authentic start to the day.
Our morning continued with a special and unexpected visit to Ana Mandara Villas Đà Lạt. As F***y loves French colonial architecture, our team managed to contact the resort’s sales team for a quick inspection visit. Walking through the peaceful pine-covered grounds and elegant villas felt like stepping back in time, offering a beautiful glimpse of Đà Lạt’s colonial heritage.
From classic villas to something completely different, we explored the famous Crazy House. This surreal and imaginative building continues to grow with even more unusual shapes, winding staircases, and dreamlike structures — a truly unique place that fascinates visitors from around the world.
We then stepped into history at Bảo Đại Palace, the residence of Vietnam’s last emperor. The well-preserved rooms and architecture tell the story of the final days of the Vietnamese royal family and the country during a fascinating period of its past.
Architecture remained the theme of the day as we visited Đà Lạt Railway Station, another remarkable piece of French heritage in Vietnam. The historic locomotive here once connected Đà Lạt and Phan Rang by a unique rack railway — a highly technical mountain train system that no longer exists today. Standing there, we couldn’t help but imagine the journey between the highlands and the coast.
Later in the afternoon, we discovered another new specialty of the “City of Eternal Spring”: Đà Lạt chocolate. Enjoying rich chocolate drinks and tasting locally made bars showed how this mountain city keeps reinventing itself with new flavors.

Tet feast in Vietnam is basically the soul of the Lunar New Year, a way to show respect to ancestors and keep the family vibe tight. Each region has its own flavor though:
North: Fancy and strict. You’ll always see the "4 bowls, 4 plates" rule, plus classic sticky rice (Bánh chưng) and frozen meat (thịt đông).
Central: Humble but hearty. Lots of small plates, salty preserved dishes, and those iconic rice paper rolls.
South: Totally chill and generous. It’s all about that giant pot of braised pork with eggs and bitter melon soup to wash away the old year's bad luck.
Different tastes, same love for Tet. 🧧🍲
