Asean Glass Conference-AFGM

The ASEAN Federation of Glass Manufacturers was created in 1977 by 19 glass manufacturers from the then five member countries of ASEAN.

Starting from 1978, AFGM conferences have been held every year, usually in late October or early November. These events, which had earlier been named the AFGM Annual Conference are now officially called the ASEAN Glass Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Glass Manufacturers.

Since 1981, the ASEAN Glass Conferences have adopted different themes each year, based on the prevailing social context. Until 2011, the conferences were hosted by Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand, with each country's glass industry association organizing the event on a rotational basis. In 2012, Vietnam joined in and hosted ours first annual conference, the 36th ASEAN Glass Conference in Hanoi.

Following the successful hosting of the conferences in Vietnam in 2012 and 2017, this year marks the official return of the 45th ASEAN Glass Conference to Vietnam, with the theme "Our Net Zero Future".
