Spotted this beautiful Phyllidia ocellata resting on the reef during a recent dive in Con Dao 💙
Its bright colors may look beautiful to us, but underwater they actually work as a warning to predators. Some nudibranchs like this can absorb toxins from their food to protect themselves.
Small creature, but always one of the most interesting things to find during a dive 🌊📸

Bắt gặp em Phyllidia ocellata này trong một chuyến lặn gần đây ở Côn Đảo 💙
Màu sắc nổi bật của loài nudibranch này không chỉ để “đẹp” mà còn là cách cảnh báo kẻ săn mồi dưới nước. Một số loài còn có thể hấp thụ độc tố từ thức ăn để tự bảo vệ mình.
Nhỏ bé thôi nhưng luôn là một trong những sinh vật khiến diver thích thú mỗi khi bắt gặp dưới nước 🌊📸

At first glance, it looks completely chaotic.
But after a few seconds, you realize the whole school is moving together perfectly.
They turn at the same moment, change direction instantly, and never collide. This behavior helps protect the group from predators and makes them move more efficiently underwater.

Thoạt nhìn, mọi thứ có vẻ khá hỗn loạn.
