The making of the original Fishbites and how it came about...
Fishbites were created and originally made by CMCL/ Herobite Restaurant, using freshly catched Robin fish and is now made and sold at Herobite Restaurant on a daily basis. You can purchase them at our location on the Vigie Highway, Fountain. Fishbites are ideal for breakfast, brunch and lunch and are served as a sandwich.

Carlos Maloney owner of Herobite Restaurant here in SVG came up with a creative idea using the commonly known 'Robbin Fish' to prepare a St. Vincent breakfast brand, and so we proceeded with an experiment which ended up as a top of the line breakfast product.

Just to give you an idea of how it is prepared, you can try it in your home by following the steps below:

1)Take 3-4 robbin fish, clean them up then boil them in water with some lime juice and 1tbs salt. Boil for about 3minutes so fish will be firm.
2) Debone the fish and ensure all fine bones are removed from it.
3) Mince the fish very fine after being deboned.
4) Boil one medium size English Potato and crush.
5) Season minced fish with your own likeness of seasoning then mix in the crushed potato.
*do not add anymore salt when seasoning, since the fish was boiled with salt.
6) Put some of the mixture in the palm of your hand and squeeze in an oblong size. Then fry into a frying pan with olive oil until color is brown.

Serve with almost any meal:
can be served with eggs, fries, bread(burger), rice, breadfruit, vegetables etc.
