We were delighted to attend the Sea Moss Expo last Friday, May 8, hosted by SVGCF Grantee, SusGren (Grenadines NGO), It was inspiring to see the creativity, innovation and impressive range of sea moss products showcased by sea moss farmers and local business owners from mainland and the Grenadines.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for learning, knowledge sharing and meaningful connection. We look forward to supporting many more initiatives like this that help strengthen the sea moss industry, create sustainable livelihoods and empower communities ✨

With support from the Caribbean Regional Architecture for Biodiversity (CRAB) Project, Caribbean Biodiversity Fund, the Agency for French Development (AFD), the French Facility for Global Environment (FFEM), KfW Development Bank on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Zooming in on day one of the workshop, the SVGCF team had the opportunity to visit the office of the St Lucia National Conservation Fund, followed by a meet and greet with regional partners from the Dominica National Conservation Trust Fund - DNCTF, Saint Lucia National Conservation Fund-SLUNCF and the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund

Board engagements also took place, providing an important space for strategic dialogue and shared learning at the governance level.

This opening session set the tone for three days of meaningful knowledge sharing, capacity building, and strengthened regional collaboration.
