🇬🇧Particulate Air Pollution in Tashkent and Its Impact on Public Health

I would like to share the results of our joint research conducted in collaboration with colleagues from the Transport University and Michael Brody from American University (Washington, USA).

Between 2019 and 2022, we assessed the range of mortality in Tashkent associated with air pollution (PM2.5), from minimum to maximum cases. Using a unified mortality assessment model, we analyzed various sources of PM2.5 concentrations to highlight the scale of the threat.

Our mission is to draw the attention of city authorities and the public to this “ticking time bomb” that affects each and every one of us.
Air pollution is not an abstract threat — it is a real issue that impacts the quality and longevity of human life.

🇷🇺Загрязнение воздуха частицами в Ташкенте и последствия для здоровья населения

Хочу поделиться результатами нашего совместного исследования с коллегами из Транспортного университета и Майклом Броди из American University (Washington, USA).

В период с 2019 по 2022 годы мы оценили диапазон смертности в Ташкенте, связанной с загрязнением воздуха (PM2.5), от минимума до максимума случаев. Используя единую модель оценки смертности, мы рассмотрели различные источники концентрации PM2.5, чтобы показать масштабы угрозы.

Наша миссия — привлечь внимание руководства города и общества к “замедленной бомбе”, которая касается каждого из нас. Загрязнение воздуха — это не абстрактная угроза, а реальная проблема, влияющая на качество и продолжительность жизни.
