Groups are filling fast for Weeks 2 & 3!
π Get ready for a summer of discovery, creativity, and adventure!
(AGES 5-12 years)
Campers will explore Yumaβs unique riverfront history and environment through exciting, hands-on STEM activities, outdoor exploration, and interactive learning.

Engineering the River! Campers will dive into the history and innovation of the Colorado River State Historic Park by:
β’ Building their own siphon systems
β’ Designing and testing dam models
β’ Cracking the code with Morse code & telegraph messaging
β’ Exploring the park through tours, art, and interactive games
π± Camp Week #2 β June 16β18, 2026
Wetlands & Desert Explorers! Campers will step into the role of environmental scientists as they discover the Yuma East Wetlands:
β’ Investigating native plants, animals, and habitat restoration
β’ Exploring how the Colorado River supports life in the desert
β’ Conducting fun, hands-on water and conservation experiments
β’ Enjoying nature walks, science activities, and outdoor games

Prison Break Challenge! Step back in time at the Yuma Territorial Prison with immersive and exciting activities:
β’ Interactive video storytelling experiences
β’ Escape room-style challenges that build teamwork and problem-solving skills
β’ Discovering what life was like behind bars and the legends that remain
β’ Arts & crafts, and engaging educational games

βοΈπ¦ Save the date for Water Safety Day!
The Greater Yuma Water Safety Alliance will host Water Safety Day on Saturday, June 6, at Valley Aquatic Center (4381 W. 18th Street).
The free, family-friendly event includes a pre-pool party at 8 a.m. with music, free hot dogs, giveaways, interactive booths, and a free life jacket exchange program with the Arizona Game and Fish Department. Participants must bring a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket to exchange.
Free public swimming begins at 10 a.m., along with activities and demonstrations to help families learn how to stay safe in and around water this summer.
