We enjoyed spending time with local business and community leaders, including Nassau County Commissioners, while learning more about the important work being done by the West Nassau Historical Society and Museum.

And of course, no West Nassau gathering would be complete without a local favorite, the Chicken House nuggets!

Looking for a rewarding way to serve your community? Join the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office as a School Crossing Guard and help keep our students safe on their way to and from school each day.

As a School Crossing Guard, you will:
✅ Assist children safely across roadways
✅ Promote traffic safety around school zones
✅ Build positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff
✅ Make a difference in your community every day
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Florida Driver’s License
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Schedule:
📅 Monday – Friday (School Calendar Year)
🎉 School Holidays Off
⏰ Morning and Afternoon shifts (approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour each)

Pay: $16.00 per shift (average of 10 shifts per week)
