Shining a light on prevention.

Students in Penn State Yorkโ€™s Health and Human Development Division, led by Dr. Jennie Dilworth, adjunct instructor, hosted a program and candlelight vigil this April focused on child abuse and neglect prevention.

During the event, Dilworth recognized the efforts of each student. All participated in various ways, collectively planning and implementing the event to raise public awareness.

โ€œThese students didnโ€™t just learn about the issueโ€”they took action,โ€ Dilworth said. โ€œTheir work reflects a deep commitment to raising awareness and supporting children and families in our community.โ€

This annual tradition, led by Human Development and Family Studies students since 2011, reflects the power of education in action.
