It was a blast at the CineSpark Spring 48 Hour Film screening at the Midtown Cinema! There were 8 great films chosen and ours, "I Heard It's Gonna Rain Today" was lucky enough to be chosen for best sound! Braeden was the brains behind the music so huge thank you to him for achieving this!

The WE WERE Penn State York Podcast is officially up and running! Talking with Nihhar Sonee was great and we had some laughs and some serious moments. Look out for some future episodes and find it on all major platforms.

We had a blast teaching our class 'The Power of Perspective' at the 2026 Penn State York Pathways to Your Future STEAM day. Everyone seemed to have a great time and it was amazing getting to teach some new people a little bit about the world of film!

As part of my Penn State York honors project, I completed this film, The Secret Ingredient, in 3 days. It is based off of the film Spotlight. Give it a watch on YouTube!
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Ryan Kane
Ryan first appeared in "Don't Turn Off The TV" and has since appeared in two more projects, one being directed by him! Ryan plans on going into the military to be a combat medic but still helps us out. Thank you for all you do Ryan!

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: JONAH LEWIS
Jonah joined the studio in May of 2025 with his first appearance being in "Lone Cowboy: Rise of a Star". Jonah was the first Crying Light Studio member to make and direct his own short film, that being "Sticks". Jonah continues to write stories and there may be a possible sequel in the works...
