Achieving limitless possibilities as an artist can prove to be daunting after being in the industry for two decades. Seeing so many variances of styles and colors recycled through the years; where do my ideas go from here?
How do I expand more? How do I give people more options?

I got certified in hair extensions through the Regis Corporation in 2007, learning both the keratin (k-tip) fusion and tape-in techniques. I quickly learned how hair extensions change lives. I can give a fine haired client the density they’ve always desired. I can give a client with broken, over-processed hair the length that they’ve always wanted, using my system of installation as “care extensions” while their natural hair mends. I can add highlights and dimension without using chemicals and in circumstances where the hair isn’t able to be lifted (going from black to blonde). I can give children the bright colors they want, temporarily, without chemicals.

I spent four days in New Orleans in March 2022. I learned even more advanced techniques: including natural beaded wefts, double density strands, and even “beaded toppers” for clients with major visual density loss on their crown.

I am so excited to bring these technologies to you here at Shortino’s salon. With hundreds of color options and textures available and a myriad of placement choices, limitless possibilities CAN be achieved!! My individual pieces of art, my clients, are always thrilled, and even my own expectations are exceeded.
