The 5th generation of the popular is known internally at the G65 and has applied their latest Neue Klasse design and architecture under the skin. The model you’re seeing is the first-ever fully electric , which will sit at the top of the range (for now) as the which means it has a massive 144 kWh battery pack that supplies power for 2-electric motors that produce 570 HP and 593 lb-ft of torque. The best-selling in America, the continues to be a big seller for the brand and while the all-new isn’t quite the same beast as the iconic first generation model, this week we’re testing out the ultimate version with this 2026 . No, it doesn’t actually have a Turbo engine, but unlike the old , the dual electric motors in this car pull power from a 100 kWh battery pack and produce a whopping 630 HP and 833 lb-ft of torque! That makes this the most powerful Macan ever and when we launched it in Sport+, we clocked a blisteringly quick 0-60 MPH time in just 2.89 secs w/ a top speed of 162 MPH, making this car the quickest vehicle in the compact luxury EV SUV segment! Porsche also says this model is good for 293 miles of range and it’ll DC Fast Charge from 10-80% in just 21 mins.
While we didn’t love the look the base Macan Electric we tested last year, the Turbo version looks appropriately sporty and more like a Cayenne. With a wide and lowered stance riding on RS Spyder 22” wheels on an adaptive air suspension and optional rear axle steering. This car hides its 5,000+ lb weight extremely well in the corners. The sculpted front fascia has a deeper chin spoiler and the signature 4-point LED headlights are distinctive and modern. Our test car is painted in Slate Gray Neo w/ the Black leather interior w/ Turbonite accents. The driver gets a 12.6” display, while the center screen is 10.9” and the passenger gets an optional 10.9 screen as well. Porsche sold over 27k Macan’s in America last year, and were told about 33% of the sales were for the all-electric variant. Expect to see a redesigned ICE Macan coming soon. It’s Porsche, so you’ll a pretty penny for this car at the base end for around $80k. Add AWD will cost you $4k more, while the 4S is another $5k. The new GTS trim will set you back $105k, but the Turbo has a whopping $112k base price and with options, our test car rang up at an outrageous $149,610. Nobody said buying the Porsche of fast electric SUV’s was gonna be cheap 😭
