The General Store will be open this Saturday 4/11 for a one day workshop at Chases Garage in York, ME. I’ll be making flasks, oil cans and other oddities to numerous to mention.

First rejection letter of the new year. Reminded me of a series I made a few years back — when rejection letters arrived by mail, printed on fancy letterhead. I remember the excitement of opening them, only to realize I wasn’t reading, just scanning for a few key words. This led to a series of redacted, rejection letters soaked in encaustic wax titled “Thick Skinned”. A quality every artist needs. Rejection is material for new work.
