Whether it’s in the school or on the football field, Dominick Hezekiah brings a relationship-first approach to his work with students.

The Dean of Students at York Academy’s Upper School knows that when grades fall, attendance slips, and behavior is disruptive that something deeper is often going on.

“Students who don’t feel seen or understood, those type of students tend to disengage,” he says.
