🌟 Volunteers Needed! 🌟

We're looking for volunteers to help make our first-ever York County 4-H Summer Project Display Night a success!

📅 Thursday, July 23
📍 York Place
🕒 Project Drop-Off: 3:00–5:30 PM
🎉 Display Night Begins: 6:00 PM

Help us celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our 4-H youth as they showcase projects they've created and learned from all summer long. We'll also be hosting our NEW Youth Vegetable Contest! 🥒🍉🌱

Whether you can help with check-in, set-up, judging assistance, hospitality, or clean-up, we'd love to have you on our team!

🌱🍉 NEW THIS YEAR! Youth Vegetable Contest

Summer Project Display Night begins at 6:00 PM
York Place

🎉 Open to ALL York County youth!
You do NOT have to be a 4-H member to participate.

🫛 Green Beans – Longest Average of 3
• Enter 3 green beans of the same variety.
• Average length of the three beans determines the winner.

🫑 Peppers – Heaviest
• Enter 1 pepper (sweet or hot).
• Heaviest pepper wins.

🥒 Cucumbers – Longest
• Enter 1 cucumber (slicing or pickling).
• Longest cucumber wins.

🟢🟡 Summer Squash – Longest
• Enter 1 green zucchini or yellow squash.
• Longest squash wins.

🌱 Okra – Longest Average of 3
• Enter 3 okra pods.
• Average length of the three pods determines the winner.

🍉 Watermelon – Heaviest
• Enter 1 watermelon (any variety).
• Heaviest watermelon wins.

📋 Entry Information

Open to all York County youth (4-H membership is not required!)
One entry per exhibitor in each category.
Vegetables must be grown by the exhibitor during the current growing season.
Drop off entries at York Place between 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM on Thursday, July 23.
Entries received after 5:30 PM cannot be judged.
Winners will be announced during Summer Project Display Night at 6:00 PM.

Whether you have a backyard garden, raised beds, or just a few plants on the porch, we'd love to see what you've grown! 🌱
