Epilepsy is a disorder that affects more than 1% of the human population. Understanding the types and causes of focal and generalized seizures as well as the cellular and molecular mechanisms behind the neuronal dysfunctions is crucial for medical studies.
Our 3D animation demonstrates selected aspects of the nature of epilepsy and contributes to the ongoing research.

This model accurately reflects the anatomy and morphology of the human brain, including the cerebral cortex and basal ganglia. To enable precise 3D modeling and sculpting, we analyzed and combined multiple sets of published high-resolution CT-scanning data.
