When I was graduating high school, instead of a typical high school ring my mother had my brother in law (a jeweler at the time) make me a ring very similar to this. Tradition occured when she did the same for my younger sister. My daughter is graduating this year and of course I wanted her to have the same. My brother in law cant do this anymore due to his health and my sisters encouraged me to try. This was my trial....not too bad first my first ring. I feel confident enough to tackle the real one although I feel she's satisfied with this one.
