Well.. seems the thermostat/thermal switch in this heat pad wanted to fail on me like the others.. so I replaced the stock one with a thermal fuse for rated for 150c.. if this doesn't work, I will use the ones rated for 230c which would overkill and not really that safe.. we will see. Anyways, back to testing and I will share the overhang print tomorrow

Testing and tuning can take forever. The printer has an auto feature that "heat soaks" the bed and gantry.. so it takes a while before each print. With that said.. ive gotten some gnarly overhang settings going on now. This part is at roughly a 71° overhang..

Now onto the pc-abs!

Its always the small things! Lol

I walked into the room just after it happened so I could actually save what had printed.

The badge leash was a concept in the works that is literally there to hold up the umbilical (the wires) to prevent them from interfering with my belt path... well when the leash gives out and does the opposite, you get massive skips.

Well, it would have gone beautifully otherwise. So ordering a better leash and using another cheap one till it gets here. Tbh, this one had at least a week of test print time on it in 60°C

If its not one thing, its another. So.. the printers firmware decided to corrupt, probably my fault with random power outages... so I have spent most of the night redoing the firmware on it. Its actually nice to do since ratrig put an update out that configures a lot more and gives a few generalized macros. So now I just have to recalibrate again. This printer knows its close to being done and throwing a fit.. but all Im hearing is "Yes Dobby"
